Spring detox is coming so is time for beetroot power & coconut heaven! What’s better than a proper , healthy smoothie to start the day with? Already the last spring and summer season I have shared with you recipes for some beetroot goodies. You can find them here and here. But this one is my favourite. The combination of strawberries, with banana, coconut and all the amazing vitamins coming from beetroot, is the best!
You will feel like you are drinking best strawberry shake, yet you will get all the nutrition from this red power vegetable.
I am preparing myself for spring detox, so this type of smoothies will definitely help me. I am starting this week, with giving up gluten products and sugar, and few other products. I will prepare separate post on this and will share with you my experience.
- 2 cups of coconut mylk (you can prepare home made, recipe here
- cup of strawberries
- 1 beetroot
- 1 tablespoon of flax seeds
- 1 teaspoon of coconut oil
Blend everything together. If you wish to make it sweeter, you can always add 1 or 2 dates. Enjoy this delicious, healthy elixir!
