Strawberry-coconut-avocado smoothie!

Combination of strawberry-avocado in a smoothie is a perfect healthy treat for me! Catch the last opportunity which the strawberry season has to offer. At least in Europe, the main strawberry season is June and part of July. I know nowadays you can find the strawberries all year long. But actually nothing beat the taste of real seasonal fruit and it sweetness which comes from the sun. I don’t like those big, perfectly shaped, quite artificial strawberries which you find in the supermarket during the winter. They simply does not taste. So I am always, always waiting for the season to start. And whole June I eat strawberries like it would be possible to eat in advance for the whole year, what is not possible of course.

This smoothie, which I want to share with you today, is a creamy, delicious and pure morning pleasure for me. You can make it just in few minutes, so I hope you will try it!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of strawberries
  • 1 banana
  • 1 avocado
  • 2 cups of coconut milk
  • optional: 1 tbs of flax seeds or chia seeds

 

Preparation:

  • Wash the strawberries and remove the stems
  • add banana, avocado and strawberries into the blender jar
  • add coconut milk and if you wish flax or chia seeds
  • blend until smooth

This smoothie is such a summery, rich and nutritious treat! Not mentioning of course the taste. What can be better than mix of coconut and strawberry flavour, sweeten with banana and enriched with healthy avocado? Enjoy!
